Smoke density chamber ASTM E 662

The equipment is used to estimate the specific optical density of the smoke generated by solid materials in vertical position, having thickness up to 25 mm. The use of a heat energy source and a six-flame burner simulate radiation and combustion conditions at the same time.  While the smoke generated by the specimen is kept within the airtight chamber, a photometric system estimates the transmittance variations. Test data and specific optical density values are displayed on a Personal Computer.
